Stars, Flags, Colors not displaying/syncing across Filmstrip, Grid, Loupe View (LrC 14.4)
Since upgrading to LrC 14.4 I have noticed major issues with stars, flags, colors (possibly other meta-data, but not used in my workflow). Specifically when using a keyboard shortcut (e.g. 2 to set to 2 star rating), the change in status is not displayed, unless viewed in Loupe View (keyboard: E) and can even display inconsistently in different views. I am expecting behavior like previous version of LrC where such metadata is visible in the flimstrip, develop mode (keyboard: D), and in Grid view (keyboard: G) and that the displays are consistent in all of these.
LrC v 14.4
MacOS Sequoia 15.5 (24F74) on Apple M1 hardware
Steps to reproduce:
A: In develop (or grid) mode press 2
B: In develop (or grid) mode press X
C: In develop (or grid) mode press 6
Expected outcome:
A: Rating of current image set to 2 stars. 2 stars displayed on film strip, 2 stars displayed below image when in grid mode
B: Flag of current image set to reject. black X flag displayed on film strip, black X flag and greyed out square in grid mode
C: Color label of current image set to red. red outline shown around thumbnail on film strip, red outline around image in grid mode
Actual outcome:
A: No visible change in filmstrip, no visible change in develop, no visible change to image border area when switching to Grid mode (G). (no stars shown by image in either mode. Only way to see stars is in Loupe mode (E), with the "rating" view mode selected from the lower right downward triangle/arrow
B: No visible change in filmstrip, no visible change in develop, no visible change to image border area when switching to Grid mode (G). (no flag shown by image in either mode, not greyed out in grid). Only way to see flags is in Loupe mode (E), with the "flagging" view mode selected from the lower right downward triangle/arrow
C: No visible change in filmstrip, no visible change in develop, no visible change to image border area when switching to Grid mode (G). (no color border shown by image in either mode). Only way to see color is in Loupe mode (E), with the "color label" view mode selected from the lower right downward triangle/arrow
