Stop Syncing with a Retired Device

I retired an iPad some time ago but LR continues to attempt to sync with it. I have tried the following:

In a browser, I logged into my Adobe Account account and clicked "End Session" for the device
Within LR, I have searched for the images that LR has been attempting to sync to delete them, but cannot find them.

What else can be done?

I found a solution (before seeing the tip above on how to "Rebuild Sync Data"):

Clicking on any of the files in the sync activity opens a browser with the Lightroom sync library, where individual photos can be selected for deletion. That solved my problem with the software's attempt to continue syncing photos that had been moved elsewhere before retiring the device where they originally resided.

When trying to exit LR, I get this:

In Preferences/Lightroom Sync I see that LR is attempting to sync 54 very old images with a retired device and if I scroll to the end of the list, 2 new ones awaiting syncing with a device that is still in service. Here's the screenshot:

I'm considering clicking the button "Delete All Synced Data" and starting from scratch, but that would be a heavy handed approach. Is there anything less invasive you can suggest?

I don’t think this has anything to do with your retired device. It is a problem with syncing between Lightroom Classic and the server. Delete All Synced Data may indeed be the thing you need to do.

I’m not sure I understand the problem. Lightroom syncs images with the Adobe cloud servers, not with any particular device. Each device syncs with the same servers. So what is it that Lightroom tries to do and you want to stop?
