Strange thing happening when I go to "Develop" and export images

I am having an issue in Lightroom. When I go to "develop" an image, the image gets very overexposed. Almost as if a setting was changed. I can click "reset" for it to go back to the original image. However, when I export the image, the same setting happens. I didn't apply any new settings in lightroom, so I am unsure what's happening and why.
