Stuck in auto culling whe trying to import

When I try to import files,  the auto culling window pops up. And at that point, Lightroom freezes. I can't close that window, or import or do anything.  The only way I can get out is by "end Task" in windows. Any ideas

Correct answer GinoMa

Well, I kind of figured it out. I re-booted windows. I made sure auto-import was off.  Made sure auto culling was off.  seems to work now

Same issue as everyone else. I rebooted, turned off auto-culling (and already had auto-import off) but still not getting around the Culling pop-up!

Hi @Gman018, thanks for sharing!

Another user found a workaround that might help. Instead of trying to import right after opening the app, try performing another action first, like deleting an image. This should allow you to dismiss the dialog that’s normally hidden by the cull pop-up. Then, when you import and the cull pop-up appears again, you should be able to close it.

Could you give that a try and let us know if it works?

Thanks!
Alek

Same thing with me except if I click thewindows key, there is a hidden popup that says the"Destination folder" last used does not exist so C: Pictures is used instead. I'm unable to okay that hidden popup so only option is to "end task" in Task manager. I rebooted, restarted LR 15.0.1, and in preferences turned off the "Select the current/previous import" collection" and Auto import but no help. Any attempt at importing locks me into the Auto-culliung import popup. Help please! There has to be a way to say "Yes, I know you've added auto culling"

Hi @EPICDirector, thanks so much for reaching out!
One user was able to fix this by not importing right after opening the app. Instead, try performing another action first, like deleting an image. After that, you should be able to dismiss the dialog that’s normally hidden by the cull pop-up.
Let us know if that works for you!

The process that worked for me is as follows
I was stuck in the auto culling dialog box. So I had to shut down Lightroom
via windows task manager.
Then I re-booted windows, and opened lightroom
Besides turning off auo-import, I turned off suto-culling in preferences.
Then I shut down Lightroom to make the changes get set
Then I re-booted lightroom, tried to import. The auto-culling dialog
appeared for a second, then disappeared.
After that I could import normally
I made sure that the destination for the import was a good location that
lightroom could find, so that message about C;pictures didn't pop up
I successfully imported after that
I think the problem is caused by having a bad destination set in the import
screen and having auto-culling turned on.
.
Hope this helps.
