Question

Subtract an existing mask from a new mask

I have 3 existing (some complex) masks. I then create a background mask, but it overlaps with some of the image contained in the previously existing mask. Is there a way to say "subtract (from the new background mask) the existing mask 1, existing mask 2 and existing mask 3" rather than have to duplicate the actions that created the first 3 masks in the first place?

Did you ever find an answer? I wanted to do exactly the same thing and before posting the question checked to see if there was already an answer - sadly no it seems, when you spend an hour ot two carefully refining a mask, it would be good to use that as a subtraction template. If not is there a way to tell Adobe it would be a desirable addition?

No. Not yet. And I cannot find a way to directly post a suggestion to Adobe....
