Suppress history entry on export?
When I export a batch of photos, each and every one has an “Exported <date>” entry added to its history. This adds nothing to the image. Is there a way I can suppress this auto-entry of non-”history”?

I’m not speaking for everyone, but there were some who wanted to know which images had been exported, and when.
I don't personally have much use for it, but I do know that sometimes I export a copy, but then I keep working on it and later I’m not sure how current that export is. The Export history step tells me how far back that export was from my current edits, and of course, I can see exactly what was done to it since the last export.
And finally, to specifically answer this question…
So, instead of wondering why I’d want to remove it, I’d ask who thought adding it was a good idea?
As is so often the case, it was…other users like you, but who have different needs. It didn’t take long to find a feature request started by a user 6 years ago. The feature request below was upvoted and supported in the comments by other users, and the final comment in that post is from the Adobe employee 2 years ago letting everyone know it had been implemented. From the point of view of those users, it took Adobe 4 years to give them what they wanted.
