Question

Survey mode

Dear all,

For culling, I use the survey mode. I pick 8 photos from the filmstrip and give the ones I like a star. Then I  select the next 8 photos etc.

Is there a method to speed up this process by using the right arrow key to select the next 8 photos?

Thanks,

Freek

Trying to remember, but I don't think there is a simple way.

A series of keyboard shortcuts will do it, and I have a Logitec programmable mouse that can assign these KB shortsuts as a Macro (one programmable mouse button click does it. I set mode for 4 images.)

Select and View your contiguous #8 images (#1 > #8) in Survey mode, then to continue-

G      (Goes to Grid View)

[ALT + Right Arrow]   (Moves to, and selects, the next image #9 on the Filmstrip & De-selecting #1-#8)

[SHIFT + Right Arrow]   (Selects the #10 image on fimstrip)

[SHIFT + Right Arrow]   (Selects the #11 image on fimstrip)

[SHIFT + Right Arrow]   (Selects the #12 image on fimstrip)

[SHIFT + Right Arrow]   (Selects the #13 image on fimstrip)

[SHIFT + Right Arrow]   (Selects the #14 image on fimstrip)

[SHIFT + Right Arrow]   (Selects the #15 image on fimstrip)

[SHIFT + Right Arrow]   (Selects the #16 image on fimstrip)

N    (Returns to Survey Mode.

Repeat steps for next series of 8 images.
