Survey View, LR Classic 9 Changes?

Normally I set my filter atributes to marked and none marked photos.

When in Survey mode (N), normally until LR Classic 9, I used to deseelct and  mark for deletion, single photos with keyboard X not the small deselect box at right botoom of each photo.  With Keyboard X they are gone from the survey mode and are already selected for deletion

with LR Classic 9, even with a single marked photo in survey mode  2 or more pictures, Marking as Marked (P) oder marking for deletion (X)  will be applied to all Pictures, rendering survey mode at least 75% lesse usefull then before
