Switching drives

My external portable drive crashed. I had previously backed it up and moved all the folders to a new drive. Lightroom does not recognize it although the photos and folders are arranged exactly as they were on the old drive. What do I do now? How do I switch drives and keep my catalog?

    What is your OS?

    Does the new drive have the same mounting point / drive letter?
