Sync from lightroom to lightroom classic

Hi

When I'm travelling I like to import the photos I've taken that day into lightroom using my iPad and I'd like to sync them across to my desktop when I get home but I can't figure out how. I managed to get the albums to come across when I first got my desktop but it now doesn't seem to sync automatically (like it does with my iPad and phone) Is there a way this can be done?

re you syncing to Classic or to Lightroom Desktop on your Desktop Mac?

Classic, and it's a windows desktop. Not sure if this might be the issue

Classic can be very flaky and slow actually syncing down images. It often just randomly gets stuck. Check if there is anything stuck in the sync queue in the preferences panel -> sync area. There is a disclosure triangle at the bottom of the screen. Just quitting and restarting Classic sometimes helps.

Hi Caroline - how are you importing images into Lightroom on your iPad? Are these photos on a camera card or are they iPhone photos? Once the images are in Lightroom you should be able to access them anywhere... have you checked to see if they are the browser verson at lightroom.adobe.com? In the desktop version of Lightroom Classic are you able to confirm that sync is on by opening the cloud icon at the top most right corner where the module switcher is? Do you see a bi-directional blue arrow or an exclamation point? Do you have any sync errors in the left column under the Catalog panel?

I upload them from the SD card into lightroom, and yep can see them in the online version of lightroom

I've checked and the sync is enabled, and nope no sync errors so not sure what is happening

After uploading from a card to my iPad I keep my Lightroom open on both devices until the sync is complete. Not sure if that will help you. I've checked Lightroom on the web for errors and every once in awhile there will be one image that hasn't synced that is the problem. Lightroom will try a handful of times to sync (4x) and then it will stop.
