Question

sync is not showing exported image on ssd

Sync is not showing exported image in folder on external ssd.  Exporting to desktop the image appears.  Program says image in in folder on external ssd, but it hangs and never shows up.  a few updates ago I was just syncing the folder and the files were showing up without the import screen, now the import screen showing up has added another step.

What software are you using?

I'm really having trouble understanding your problem description. If you are using Lightroom Classic, "Sync" as far as I know does not show exported images in folders. Which sync are you talking about? Sync what to what? Please explain this in a lot more detail.

"Program says image in in folder on external ssd, but it hangs and never shows up." Again, I don't understand what function in LrC or other software you are referring to, so a whole lot more detail would be very helpful.

Hi @ronkemper,

Thanks for reporting this. A few details will help us understand the issue better:

  • Which version of Lightroom Classic and Windows are you using?

  • What is the file system format of the external SSD (exFAT, NTFS, etc.)?

  • Does this happen with all exports to the SSD or only certain files?

  • If you check the SSD in File Explorer, does the exported file appear there even if LrC doesn’t show it?

  • Are you syncing the folder using Folder Sync or the Import dialog?

  • If possible, could you also share a screenshot or a short video showing the behavior? That will help us diagnose it more accurately.

Regards,

Srishti
