Question

Sync Issue

Hello,

I am using Lightroom Classic on Mac OS 26.0.1. I have photos that are part of a cloud-synced collection and a local collection. Whenever I undo the action of deleting a photo, I end up with a syncing loop that does not resolve the cloud-based collection. So to clarify, photos are put back into their local collection but not restored to the cloud-based collection. I can restore those photos to the cloud-based collection easily if I go to ligthroom.com. However, Lightroom Classic still will not resolve its sync activity issue, which becomes a nuisance as it prevents me from determining a newly synced collection's status. Any suggestions? Maybe its MacOS app cache issue?

Thanks,

Eyad

Hi, thanks for reaching out, and we're sorry about the trouble!

Please let us know the version of Lightroom Classic you're using. If you go to https://adobe.ly/48QPoxv, do you see images under Sync Issues? If not, go to the Lightroom Classic menu, then Preferences, then Lightroom Sync. Please share a screenshot of what you see under Sync Activity.

Thanks,
Nikunj

Hi Nikunj,

No, there are no sync issues with:  https://adobe.ly/48QPoxv. I just updated to v15.0, but that didn't resolve the issue. Here's the screenshot. It's an uploading attempt that doesn't resolve even when the external drive is connected. As I mentioned in my original message, I deleted these images from the synced collection, but they're still in my local one. A combination of deleting and then undoing the delete action seems to result in this.

Thank you for sharing the screenshot and the additional information! Try going to one of these images and applying a minor edit to it (like adjusting the exposure slightly), and allow the image to sync. Let us know if you see the number of images syncing going down.

Thanks,
Nikunj
