Sync issues recently

I have recently been having sync issues with Lightroom Classic and Desktop.  Consistently I will try to sync files to the cloud on either LRC or LR and the same 89 files get stuck every time.  I have had other files get stuck but with multiple tries I have gotten those others to sync.  I worked with Adobe support for over 3 hours and they even took control of my system.   They got The system working for a while then the problems appeared again.  I think it was just luck it started working.  I thought it might be a network problem or some conflict because even for the files that are syncing it is very slow compared to how it was.  I had a network monitor running and killed that and things seemed to start to work again...but like I said the problem returned even with that program not running.  I am running the most recent versions of LRC and LR from Creative Cloud.  My Mac Mini M4 is patched to the latest Sequoia 15.3.2.  I was running fine and syncing was working well up until recent updates from apple and adobe.  The 89 files are DNGs that I stupidly converted from NEF files thinking it may save space...but there are other DNG files I have that sync fine.  I have even converted those DNGs to small JPGs just to see if I can get them to sync in LR...they will not sync to the cloud.  I also used the verify DNG files feature in LRC and they test fine.  In LRC all of the files work perfectly as long as I do not try to sync to the cloud.  I had started to migrate to LR but with these Sync issues I am reconsidering moving it all back and forgetting cloud...and I guess save myself an extra $10 a month for the 1TB storage I do not need.  I have another older intel based mac I will try it on next...

Hey, @Muskego.Ed. Welcome to the Lightroom Community. I'll help you figure this out. You did a great job summarizing your steps; it helps. As you described, we know the specific collection of stuck images.

Please remove these specific images/collections from sync and wait for Lightroom to process this change. Then, add a few edits or flags to these images to a new Sync collection, or collections. (Give a simple name to these new test collections).

If nothing changes after some time, check Lightroom Web (https://adobe.ly/4eF2E7u) and look for the Deleted Section and the Sync issues tab (if they exist). Emptying both of these has helped in the past. Before emptying these tabs, please ensure you have backups for the images.

After this change, let Lightroom sync and check if it returns to normal.

Thanks!

Sameer K

Ya I did all that several times. I did test and upload some of the affected files via LR mobile…so the problem follows those specific files but on my Mac M4 mini...

Thanks for the update on this. We can use the diagnostic report to learn more about this. In Lightroom Classic, go to Preferences > Lightroom Sync Tab > Press and hold the ALT/OPT Key to generate a Diagnostic report. Upload the report to any cloud file-sharing service and share the public link here, or send it to me in a direct message from my profile.

Thanks!
