Sync Lightroom classic with ipad

I have a laptop with Lightroom classic. I have set up a new catalogue for a holiday and will merge this with my orignal catalogue at a later date.

How can I sync it with my ipad so i can work on files on both the laptop and ipad. i intend to download the images to the laptop.

You may wish to consider using Lightroom (cloud-based) app on your laptop, it will sync with your LrC on your desktop computer and all mobile devices. It will upload original images to cloud storage and download originals to LrC (Classic). When you return you can remove originals from cloud storage and replace with smart previews from LrC which do not utilize any of your storage limit.

You can not have multiple Catalog files syncing to your Creative Cloud Storage.

Lightroom Classic does not sync with Lightroom Classic on another unit.
