Sync New Lightroom Catalog to Cloud

I want to sync an new Lightroom Classic catalog to cloud. I understand from what I’ve seen that anything synced in the cloud on the old catalog will sync to the new one. Do the collections show in the new catalog as they are named in the cloud or are they named something else? I have seen screen shot which shows date taken folders.

AFAIK, the old catalog does not sync down into the new one, but all the online images do (unless something changed recently).

So do the images come down in the collections that are online?

No, I don’t think the online albums sync as collections into Lightroom Classic. Only the images sync down. As far as I understand it, the existing albums in the cloud will be deleted and replaced by the albums/collections from the newly synced catalog.
