Sync Problem

Hi,

I use LR Classic to import photos and sync them to LR Cloud. In LR Cloud i tag, edit, etc so i can share it with other people.

But for quite some time now, my LR Classic isnt syncing anymore. The sync process is stuck and there are 20000 photos pending. I've already checked if there any file with sync problems (Preferences/Sync Tab) and there are none.

Can anyone help to fix this issue?

Please clarify: You are importing in LrC, adding it to a collection and let the collection sync, right?

The solution steps here might be helpful: https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-classic-bugs/p-lightroom-classic-no-longer-syncs-completely-successfully/idc-p/12420629#M16707

Hi,

Thanks for your help...

Yes...

I create a collection, add photos to it and check the sync box.

The only way i can do it now, is to upload photos directly to the cloud using my mobile phone ou LR Cloud.

But after that, when i open LRClassic, the photos arent there, as the sync process never ends. Its stuck in the same number. But that "error" does not appear anywhere.

Based on your answer, it looks like i'll havve to go for Nuclear option. 😞

One other question.. When i import files to LRClassic, does it make a copy of the file into Lightroom folder also?

That depends on what you select during import.

"Add" does not copy the file and just adds the reference to its current location to the library.

"Copy", as it says, copies the file to the specified location in the right panel section in the import dialog.

When you switch between these two options, you see the target location options appear/disappear accordingly.
