Sync problem when moving Lightroom Classic from to PC to MacBook

I transferred my Lightroom Classic catalog and photos from PC (catalog was on internal SSD & photos were on external SSD) to MacBook Air, with both the catalog & photos on the internal drive. I obviously did something wrong because every image on both on Lightroom Mobile as well as Lightroom desktop have been moved to the deleted status and are no longer appearing in my albums. I can't figure out what I did wrong.

As I'm writing this, the All Synced Photographs on Lightroom Classic on the PC is counting down toward zero.

I still have my original catalog and photos in multiple places, so I'm not concerned (at least not yet) that I'll lose everything.

Can anyone help who is very knowledgeable about all aspects of Lightroom's syncing process?

Hey, @Rob JB. Thanks for the details.

Images in the deleted section can be restored to the Lightroom All Photos within 60 days of deletion. Also, did you originally import these images via Lightroom desktop, or via Collections in Lightroom Classic?

If you used Lightroom desktop or mobile, the originals are available on the cloud and Lightroom Classic only uploads the Smart previews to Lightroom Web.

Thanks!
