Question

Sync will not complete - it is stuck saying syncing 53 photos

I have been successfully syncing lightroom classic to the cloud storage.

Recently it is showing constantly that it is syncing - it reports permanently syncing 53 photos. New photos and changes are successfully sync'd, but these 53 remain. Main issue is it prevents my Mac from sleeping which is how I have it set.

I can see errors in the diagnostic report, but have no idea what to do to correct these. I have attached the report if anyone knows how to interpret.

thanks

Hi @MarkH56,

Thanks for the detailed description and for checking the diagnostics. Here are a few focused things to check and try:

• Click the cloud icon in the top-right of Lightroom Classic. Open Preferences > Lightroom Sync, Hold Option (Mac), then select View Sync Status on Web. This will display any photos that are failing to sync in Lightroom Web, allowing you to take action on them.

• Go to Preferences > Lightroom Sync, pause syncing, wait a minute, then resume syncing. Sometimes this helps clear a stalled queue.

• Confirm those 53 photos are still part of a synced collection or All Synced Photographs. Were any of them was removed, renamed, or moved at the file-system level?

If you’d like, you can also share a screenshot of the cloud icon tooltip showing the sync state. Additionally, we have just released an update, version 15.1. Try that and let us know how it goes.
