Sync with mobile stuck but working

As the attached screenshot shows, Lightroom shows that it is syncing 3 photos (out of about 25,000), but when I look for details in preferences, it says that nothing is syncing.  I've tried deleting the sync data and letting it resync but after several hours it gets back to the same state.  Suggestions?

    Hi LeeNackman,

    We're really sorry that you are facing sync issue with Lightroom. Could you please let us know the exact version of Lightroom you are using now? Also, since how long you are facing this issue?

    I have a subscription to the CC photography plan, so I always have the latest version. Looking at the system information, it now says "Lightroom Classic version: 7.3.1 ”. I started having the problem a few days before I posted, somewhere around May 7th or 8th and just verified that I still have that problem.
