Synchronising a folder in LrC adds folders from a different drive
Let me outline my system
Drive C: is my system and programmes
Drive 😧 has a number of folders used for my documents and miscellaneous stuff including my OneDrive files and downloads and LrC catalogue
Drive E: has a folder called Images01 which has a number of sub folders with sub folders of their own, which contain all my images prior to 2023
Drive F: has a folder called Images02 which has a number of sub folders, with sub-folders of their own containing all my images from 2023 onwards
So my LrC catalogue looks something like this
Folders
Filter Folders
Images01 (E:)
Images01
2008
2009
2010
….
2022
Images02 (F:)
Images02
2023
2024
If I right click on the Images02 folder on Drive F: and select ‘Synchronize Folder’ LrC not only Synchronizes the Images of Drive F: but it also adds Drive 😧 and sub-folders containing images, so the catalogue now looks like this:
Folders
Filter Folders
LocalData (D:)
Downloads
Slides
EGPCC
Images01 (E:)
Images01
2008
2009
2010
….
2022
Images02 (F:)
Images02
2023
2024
And I have to go back and remove all the folders from Drive 😧 from the catalogue. The files that are getting added aren’t even on the same physical drive as the files I was synchronizing.
This happens every time I sync - why? and importantly how can I stop this.
(I have tried optomising the catalogue with no effect)
BTW LrC v 14.0.1
on Windows 11 Pro
