Synchronize folder is syncing entire computer, instead of just folder

I've attempted several times to synchronize a single folder in Lightroom.  It is a dropbox folder and other members of the folder are constantly uploading images that I need. It's important that I don't have to seek these images out as it's likely I will miss some.  However, each time I've tried to synchronize the folder a dialogue appears, tells me the name of the folder I'm syncing (which is correct) and the number of files that were detected for import (also correct).  I click ok but when I come back to it moments later it has found an entirely different drive on my computer and started importing thousands of program file graphics.  I just want to sync the one folder (and it's sub folders).  Is this a bug?  Is there a setting I missed?  I don't recall this being an issue in the past.

I'm using Lightroom CC 2015 on a windows 10 OS.

Thanks for any help or suggestions!!

I think you need to talk to Drop Box.

Can you explain why?  sorry, my dropbox folder is synced to an entirely separate drive, it's when I try to sync that folder lightroom that I have problems.  What is dropbox doing to make lightroom sync a different drive?
