Synchronize folder not working in 14.5

Strangely, synchronize-folder is no longer working as expected. The import dialogue appears, and it detects that there are approximately 1200 images in the folder to be imported in-place. However, the action doesn't proceed; it simply hangs and never imports the images.

Do you get any error messages? If so, please quote the exact complete word-for-word error message.

Does LrC freeze, or does the entire computer freeze requiring you to re-start the computer?

Are there any videos in the folder or child folders? If so, what happens if you move them out of the folder and its child folders?

Hey, @JBedfordPhoto. Thanks for adding the System Info; it helps. I'll need more info to help you figure this out.

Where is your Lightroom Classic catalog stored? How many external devices are connected to the machine right now?

Try these variables:

1 - Unplug any mobile devices or External drives.

2 - If your image source is plugged in via a USB extension, try plugging it directly into your machine.

As a quick test, create a new catalog (File menu > Create New Catalog) placed in the Internal drive & import a few images to establish a folder within Lightroom & then go to Library > Folders > Syncronize, and check how it goes.

Thanks!
