In the updated FAQ for LrC 14.3 it states "Syncing between Lightroom Classic and Lightroom Desktop isn't recommended", see the screen capture.
Is this specific to when both applications are on the same computer or does the recommendation also apply when on separate computers?
It's a really old recommendation and I don't really know why it's still on there as no issues have ever been reported to my knowledge. The cause of it initially was a fear that people would try to reference Lightroom Desktop's originals cache in Classic and cause a mess, so obviously don't do that. But if you treat Lightroom Desktop just like you would a mobile device, it's absolutely fine.
