Question

Syncing issues

I have no idea what is going on but the issue I am facing is that I used to work in Lightroom Mobile and whenever I finish my workflow with Lightroom Mobile, It will be automatically synced onto the adobe cloud with the edits I've made to the image so that I can see it on another app say Lightroom Classic or a device say iPad or iPhone. This hadn't been the case since I tried using Lightroom Classic for the first time. I have imported a total of 200+ images and the app just outright refuses to upload my files. I still have an ample amount of storage in the cloud as I have purposely removed some files just to make space for this new batch.

Plus I also did a diagnostic where I have attempted to rebuild sync data multiple times but when that happens, the cloud sync ‎tab shows that my whole synced library of 896 images (that's without the new imports) is being re-uploaded again for no reason even though the app's preference clearly shows that 896 images has been synced. When this so-called re-syncing or re-uploading is done, the uploading cloud thingy shows up as being stuck on uploading 1 image forever. I have also made sure it wasn't a cloud issue by doing the exact same syncing and uploading process with Lightroom Mobile (mac) and everything just prompts to upload swiftly like it should with the Lightroom Classic app as well which isn't the case.

I have edited all the 200+ images, sorted and filtered them all by my workflow and now it is refusing to sync across so that I can access them on my mobile device whereas if I were to manually import the files to lightroom mobile and sync over, I will first lose all my edits * and secondly, I would lose all the sorting that I've done.

I also did double-check, when I did the rebuild sync data, it redos my uploads under preferences > lightroom sync s yet those new 200+ images I have doesn't get synced along that. Sync Activity shows that I do have uploads but I can't confirm whether either of the uploads is the new 200+ images I imported, sorted, and edited and logically based on the fact that my images aren't showing up on lightroom mobile but lightroom mobile shows as all synced up, I would guess that neither of the 200+ images is part of that upload.

*I have tried enabling the "automatically write changes into xmp" technique on Lightroom Classic but that didn't work at all as the xmp file doesn't even have any of the edits baked onto it like how an xmp file should.

Are you aware that when trying to synchronize images FROM Lightroom Classic to the cloud they must be put into a collection and it is the COLLECTION that must be synchronized to the cloud? Lightroom Classic does not automatically synchronize every image to the cloud. Lightroom Classic does not synchronize full-sized images to the cloud but smart previews, and those smart previews do not impact the amount of cloud storage space you have.

The fact that there is one image still trying to synchronize could be the result of an image being in the deleted folder in your cloud version that Lightroom Classic is looking for. It's a possibility, but not necessarily the explanation of your problem.
