Syncing problem between lightroom classic and lighroom

Greetings, I've created a collection on lighroom classic to sync with Lighroom cloud based. Lightroom classic “syncs” the photos but the photos do not appear on the created collection on LCC. Lightroom classic seems to have completed the sync, but when I review the sync activity log the photos are “uploading”. I've tried the “rebuild sync data” with no results. Also, I've looked into the sync status on web and no issues have been logged. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hey, @rafapguz. Welcome to the Lightroom Community. I'll help you figure this out. Could you let me know which images or collections/albums are affected? 


    Are there no images synced to Lightroom Web? Could you try importing a few images directly into Lightroom Web and check if they download in Lightroom Classic as they should, and if they sync to Lightroom desktop or mobile?

    Thanks ​@Sameer K for the welcome. I started with a one random collection on Lightroom classic that syncs with Lightroom CC so I can edit the photos on my iPad. I set up the collection as a target collection. Yesterday I transferred to the collection a small batch of about 20 photos. Only 9, without any specific order would sync and the others won’t. I pull up the sync status and the photos that are unable to sync are there stuck.

    Hey, ​@rafapguz. I am sorry for the delay in getting back to your reply. 


    In Lightroom Web (https://adobe.ly/4eF2E7u) and look for the Deleted Section and the Sync issues tab (if they exist). Emptying both of these has helped in the past. Before emptying these tabs, please ensure you have backups for the images.

    If you can locate the collection in which these specific images are, start by adding flags/ratings or minor edits to the photos and adding them to a new collection. Then, wait for this collection to finish Synchronizing. 

     

    Please make sure Lightroom Classic has the required permissions on the macOS:

     

    Also, in Lightroom's Library Module> go to Library from the top menu > select 'Find all missing photos' and make sure none of the images are in a missing state with a (!), or a rectangular shape on the grid view. As images that are missing their originals won't sync up to the cloud. Head here to learn more: https://adobe.ly/3UGCppR 

     

    After this change, let Lightroom sync and check if it returns to normal.
