PC info
Windows 10 Pro 64
12GB ram

Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4590 CPU @ 3.30GHz 3.30 GHz

Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER

Since updating to 13,5 I can't use light room at all, it takes a few minutes to load and once loaded I can't do anything it will eventually stop responsding and  I will have to force close it.

once I click on any photo in the ribbon in develop it does not change to thast photo stays shoowing the first one in the ribbon -

  •  I have reset LR pref.
  • I have rtried GPU on and off.
  • I have updated everything I can all drivers etc.

All worked fine on 13.3
I tried to do an auto sync on these 150 or so photos for the lens correctiojn as I always have and it has been frozen sincve now if I wait long enough it just times/crashes out.

I really would like to use what I pay Adober for   and if not will just go backl to LR 5 on disk this is absurd!  the AI sync BS is the cause I justt know it

Your System Info shows the Lightroom Catalog folder and it's contents are stored in Pictures, which is a subfolder of OneDrive.

Library Path: C:\Users\detro\OneDrive\Pictures\Lightroom\Lightroom Catalog-v13-3.lrcat

I recommend that you move the Lightroom folder to a location that not associated with OneDrive

In addition:

Please post your System Information as Lightroom Classic (LrC) reports it. In LrC click on Help, then System Info, then Copy. Paste that information into a reply. Please present all information from first line down to and including Plug-in Info. Info after Plug-in info can be cut out as that is just so much dead space to us non-Techs and it takes up vast amounts of scroll space making the reply less readable and less likely that others will bother with your post.

And can you post a screenshot of your LrC /Preferences/Performance/

Here is the sys info from LRC  - I did a clean instal it helped some (I can use it now) but it is still slower (click  for an action say adjust a slider it is taking 5-10 minutes to complete and mostly goes blank and times out like my initial screen shot poste) than it was a week ago on 13.3/or 4 was working fine took some shots to process at a festival and came home had the update so did it and got this laggy  slowness (I did not title this slow loading iot loads fine its the develope module that hangs and it just does not work even with sync paused or off.
may just have to learn the web based cloud LR I just like and know my work flow in LrC
Abover someone mentioned the 1660S being old, its older but still viable and was working perfectly prior to this update, and has no issues in PS.

If you can bring up LrC for just a bit, go and create a new catalog.

Alternatively, if you have a LrC startup Shortcut icon down in your Task Manager, hold down on the ALT key and click on the LrC startup Shortcut icon. A catalog prompt should appear, you can select to create a new catalog.

Point of the new catalog, is to eliminate a possible corrupt catalog (the existing one)

If this new catalog comes up nicely, then perhaps attempt some importing (perhaps import from the old catalog) and test.

the AI sync BS is the cause I justt know it

You can turn off the Sync with the Adobe Cloud.

Lots of the develop module now uses the GPU, and with each release, it feels like more and more of the Develop Module processing is done via the GPU. Your GPU is quite old, and may be the cause of some or most of the slowness you are seeing (although I doubt it is the cause of slow starting). What happens if you go to Preferences->Performance->Set "Use Graphics Processor" to OFF?

And most of us don't agree with (and don't want to see) your usage of BS here.
