Tether capture Issues

I am having difficutly with tether capture from Canon 5DIV to MacbookPro Mac OS version 12.4 -- I have tried to uninstall and reinstall Lightroom Classic, turn everything off and then re-start, tried different cables -- purchased a new cable, and yet still Lightroom states "no camera detected".  How do I fix this issue?
