Question

Tethered capture does not download the image

The trouble always comes when in hurry. I need to do a presentation with Lightroom tethered capture and this stopped working properly.

I have 2 Canon cameras: 70D and 5D Mark II.

When I connect the cameras with Lightroom, the tethered capture connection works, I am able to change the camera settings and make remote shooting, except, the image does not download.

I tried with another computer and it works.

What setting needs to be reset to make tethered capture working again?

I had to talk with support... Then we found out that LR 8.2 and ACR 11.2 is buggy. LR version 8.1 is able to import the captured image, but on;y with the 'Tethered capture (Nikon)'.

I have to wait for the LR version 8.3...

Check the permissions for the folder you are trying to save the tethered photos to. That folder should have full read/write permission for your computer user name.

Try a different serial port on the computer you are trying to save to and a different cable.
