Tethered capture still don't working with Nikon D850

I sometimes use tethered capture, but not that often. To my unpleasant surprise, it hasn't worked for some time, even though I followed all the steps to fix the problem.

I even did a new installation of LrC (w. uninstall and clearing registers), assigned absolute rights to the folder where the photos were supposed to be saved, and LrC still gives an error message about the impossibility of saving to any selected location.

I have Windows 10 with all updates and the latest version of LrC 14.1.1.

Please don't ask me to do a clean install of Windows and then go through version by version and find out where it stops working, because you get paid for that.

Smart Shooter 5 in the latest version (trial 5.8) works absolutely flawlessly! :((
