Question

Tethering

In a couple of weeks I will be conducting a photoshoot in an area where there is no internet/WiFi.  I generally shoot tethered to lightroom on my laptop.  Will this be possible without the internet?  I cannot find any information on this.

This sounds interesting, informative and just what I am after.

I find the written instructions slightly confusing, so if I could see a video that would be excellent.

My laptop is a DELL not a Mac.  The camera that I tether with is  Cannon 5D m3.

Before you go away, disable the internet on the laptop and try shooting tethered.

You can use Lightroom-Classic offline (no internet) for periods from 5 up to 90 days, depending on your subscription payment method.

A suggestion in the past was to Sign-out and Sign-In with the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop App, while online, which apparently can reset the offline time to the maximum your payment method allows. The Desktop App 'Calls Home' regularly (every 30 days?) to verify your subscription status and activation.
