Question

tethering photos upside down in LR

Hi,

Not sure since when I started to have this issue- when tethering and shooting, the photos shown in LR are upside down. I tether to see each photo immediately after I shoot and make necessary adjustment to the next shot. It is tedious to manually rotate each photo in LR after each photo appears on my laptop. I'm not sure what info. I need to share to have your help, but there it is:

Camera: EOS R

Tethering: Canon camera wireless +  EOS Utility (my camera cable portal for tetherting was broken during an accident pull 😕😕 so I have been using wireless tethering. However, I did not have photo upside down issue until a few weeks ago)

Lighroom Classic: up to date

Windows 10

I don't think I changed any setting to cause this.... but if I did it unknowingly, please share your experties with me to correct it. I can't figure it out, and the post I found relative is 2017/2018 and it was a bug issue, so not helpful to me.

Thank you,

YiChen

Are you doing these photos with the camera pointed down? Or mostly pointed down? In that position, the camera will not always know what it up and what is down for the photo orientation.

Hi, Kenneth,

The angle is only slightly down. The funny thing is it looks correct on the camera screen but it flipped upside down in LR. I did not have this kind of problem in the past and can't figure out why. Really frustrating.

Anytime LrC does anything strange, try resetting the preferences.
