Tethering problems with newest version of Lightroom Classic

I had to downgrade to version 13.0 to get the tethering function to work again. See a lot of people have the same issue with several different cameras. With the new version of Lightroom standard, the link to edit in photoshop just hangs. Going back a version there too. Had no problems on previous versions. Using Windows 11 on a dell computer. PC custom buildt for handling video and graphics.

Same issue, so I'll tag onto this thread. Just got a new Macbook Pro M4 Max. Installed LR CC 14.4 and was excited to see that now the Fuji GFX100 is supported native, without the Fuji Tether app. I tried to connect my Fuji GFX100 but it just hangs and never connects. I went out on the interwebs and looked for answers, in the camera selected USB connection auto and fixed. Neither work. If I open the Fuji Tether app, it works. I can connect to the camera and use it. But it does not work from within LR.

Note: I know to use LR native you need to go into File -> Plugin Manager and disable the Fuji plugin. I know that to use the Plugin you have to turn it on. I know you generally need to close LR and reopen it. But none of these things work.

I have another Macbook Pro M1 Max. It is running Sequoia 15.1 and I just upgraded LR CC to 14.4. The Fuji GFX100 does work tethered on that still using the Fuji plugin, but not natively without it.

Hi @Truls33721361xue1, Welcome to the Lightroom Community Forum! To better help you with this issue, we would like a few more details. Please send your camera info, system info, and screenshots or screen recordings of the problem on the latest build so we can try replicating it. You can find your system info by going to Help > System Info, copying and pasting it into a text file, and attaching it here. Thanks! ^CH

I am down to 13.0. the problems started in all the versions above that så I had to downgrade several times until the Tether worked again. The problem starts after the initial dialogue box where you choose catalogue folder. After that it refuses to connect to the camera, saying there is something wrong with the connection. When in that mode, I cannot take photos with the camera manually either, the images will not save to disk.

I could reinstall the newest version but I use 13 daily and need my tethering connection to work. I have seen many with the same problem so I am sure you must have screendumps of this already. I use a Nikon D7500, with a standard orange tether cable from Tether Tools, connecting from USB on the computer to micro USB on the camera. The cable works fine

yesterday I spent hours testing and downgrading both LR CC and PS. <language> It seems like there is a serious lack of testing and push for AI, which largely isn't working. I was excited for this update but it was a total bust.
