The Latest Lightroom Classic Update (11.4) Has Produced Endless "GPU Rendering" With Masks

Previous versions had no problem with assisted GPU for me, but with the newest LRC update now the use of masks produces endless "GPU rending", and prevents any further edits. I'm on a Windows (Dell) laptop with a NVIDIA RTX A5000 GPU. The only way forward is to disable assisted GPU. This seems like a bug because previous versions posed no problems. I'd like to get this capacity back.

I would also just double check that you have the latest driver through nvidia and not relying on windows updates. Nvidia usually produces updates for that card once to twice a month. I would expect one shortly based on the last release date. you can sign up on the driver page to be notified when a new driver is released for your card.

@JohanElzengatypically, how long would take NVIDIA to catch up to Lightroom classic updates?

It's probably still the drivers, but no update available yet.

Thanks for the suggestion @JohanElzenga . Unfortunately I failed to include that bit of information in the original post. The drivers are all up to date. Updated drivers does not seem to be the problem.

It's not a bug in Lightroom, it's a problem with out of date graphic card drivers. Check for an update of your graphics card drivers.

I also have endless problems, when using brush tool it takes ages for the brush effect to react making it impossible to edit an image.

I also have a Dell laptop and when editing the fan runs at high speed constantly. I cant seem to contact the technical support for help.
