To clean the computer

In the computer inthe dokument file the "LightroomCatalog 2-2-2.ircat" is saved every time there is a backup. This takes a lot of volume in total. Is it OK to delete all but the latest of these "catalogs" ?

Anybody?

While we are talking backups, you might want to give the LrCat file (and its supporting folders) a better name than "LightroomCatalog 2-2-2.Lrcat".

Also, you really want the backup files going to a different drive than the master catalog is on. Otherwise a single drive failure takes both the master and the backups with it.

Thanks M-Joe. Where do I change the place for the backups. I thought about it and havent done anything. All photos and stuff are already on separat disks, so I do hve disks and space away from the computer.

Thanks. HioPhoto

When LR gets ready to do the backup of the catalog, the dialog with the "now" and "skip" buttons will also contain a location option for the backups.
