Transfer Ratings/Stars from one lightroom workstation to a second

Hi,

I made the rating of pictures in lightroom classic on a macbook and now I need to transfer only the ratings to my

main workstation.

How can I transfer the ratings/stars without the picture? Is there a way to do this?

thanks Peter

I think you need to transfer the catalog and the photos. (If the photos exist on your main workstation, then you wouldn't need to transfer the photos, just the catalog).

On the macbook, select the desired photos, and then File->Export as Catalog. Transfer the files created. Then on the main workstation, use File->Import From Another Catalog and select the exported catalog from the macbook.

This is exactly what I'm trying to do with my workflow.....did you find a solution? Is it possible in 2023?

Hey DJ Paige,

thanks for the answer.

But would´t it be great to have the possibility to do so?

Often you start working on one machine and finish on a second.

It would be great to just continue the work without having to transfer the

pictures a second, third, fourth time.

And question: How do other user deal with this problem?

Is there a plugin that only transfers metadata over the net?

this would be a nice feature for lightroom.

or may I change my workflow?

kind regards Peter

You should submit a feature request to Adobe.
