Question

Transform/Verical overshhots the correction

I have noticed for many months by now really, that the Transform/Vertical overshoots the correction routinely, and than I have to use the manual Transform/Vertical slider to usually set it to +9 to +20 in oder to make the lines really vertical on both sides of the image.

Do you also observe that problem?

Hi @ThomasH_on_the_web

Thanks for reporting this issue and for sharing the details. To help us investigate this further, could you please provide a bit more information?

  • System info from Lightroom Classic version (Help > System Info)

  • Whether this happens with all images or only specific photos

  • The exact steps/workflow you follow, a small video showing issue would be really helpful.

  • Does the issue occur every time or intermittently?

  • Are these images RAW or JPEG, and which camera/lens were used?

In the meantime, please try the following steps:

  • Restart Lightroom Classic and your system.

  • Reset preferences, try the manual method, and keep a backup of folders on Desktop before deleting them: https://adobe.ly/4aPMXMv

  • Try the same image with Lens Corrections enabled/disabled to see if there’s any change.

  • Test the Transform > Vertical option on a different image.

  • If possible, temporarily disable any third-party plugins and test again.

Once you share the details above, we’ll be happy to look into this more closely.

Regards,

Srishti

Please share one of these original photos so we can try this on another computer to see if the problem happens. Please use DropBox or other similar sharing platform and provide us the link so we can download it.
