Travel Issue

When I travel, I import and edit on Lightroom Classic on my laptop. Images are RAW, edited and then saved to a subfolder of the original date folder, as jpg's.

When I return home, I export the applicable date folders as a catalog, (including the jpg subfolders) and then import to my desktop. The issue is that when I import the catalog, the jpg's and RAW images are grouped together in the date folder and the jpg's do not appear in the jpg subfolder.

Is there a solution?

Yes make sure on the desktop to set the preference called "treat JPEG files next to raw files as separate photos" in Preferences->general to on. It is probably turned off (the default). Probably should be set this way on both machines.

When importing the catalog to your desktop, try using the 'Organize' option in Lightroom Classic's import dialog box. Select 'By Original Folders' or 'By Date' to maintain the original folder structure, including the subfolders containing your edited JPGs. This should help keep your JPGs separate from the RAW files.

I can't see this option in Preferences?

Gawd...it would help if I used Preferences in LR and NOT PS! Sorry.
