Trouble exporting files to extern disk

Hi there. I have just re-downloaded Lightroom in both Lightroom CC and Lightroom Classic CC. I have chosen to use the good old styled LR Classic CC for now as the features there fit better for my work. I have no trouble keep on importing files from an extern disk, but problem with exporting back to same disk. When trying to chose a specific folder in the disk - been trying and it is any folder there - it just says: "The specified folder is not available." Help, I really need to be able to keep on using this harddisk for the files.. What can I do to fix this error?

This is a permissions problem. Your user name doesn't have Write permissions to those folder or to the drive.

    What OS are you using?

Is this drive a Networked drive or is connected directly to your computer by USB.

    Thanks for the input here..

Well, I use a macOS High Sierra. The harddisk is connected via USB adapter.

How can the write permission suddenly be denied, when formerly working fine..

If you recently had an OS update Apple is notorious for changing permission with ever OS update.

Doesn't hurt to check them and make sure your username has both Read & Write permissions for that drive.
