Trouble with SanDisk card downloading - card or reader

I am using an older 32GB SanDisk card in a Lexar dual card reader. I am using a PC and Windows 11. The card, until 2 days ago, was working and now there is a problem. I am downloading Infrared images from a Canon Rebel XSI 450D. When I try to download the images there is no indication that images are available. I can take photos and they will be on the card and I can review them in camera but they will not download to Lightroom.. Is this the card reader?  Any other tests I can do or should I just get another dual reader?
