Question

Trying to remove things is more long wind now we've got the Distraction Removal

When clicking on the Remove Section before it would automatically open all the Remove tab (as there wasn't a Distraction Removal tab) however now it's automatically closed and just means having to click on the Remove tab. I much prefered it before, as now it just means 1 more extra click! As there's only 2 sections in the Remove tab then it may as well just have both open.

Normally, LR remembers the open/closed state of each of Remove's subpanels (Remove and Distraction Removal).  So if you open the Remove subpanel and close the Distraction Removal subpanel, move to another photo, and click the Remove tool, the Remove subpanel should be automatically opened.

It sounds like that's not happening for you. First, restart your computer. If the problem persists, try resetting LR's preferences:

LR sometimes soils its preferences file, and resetting it can fix all sorts of wonky behavior. That article explains how to restore the old preferences if resetting doesn't help.
