My standalone lightroom is version: 6.1 [ 1025654 ] after choosing to upgrade from the help menu.  With the CC version of lightroom on 6.8 have I got the latest standalone release and does this mean that I won't get any further upgrades, I thought all versions after the decimal were included in the price of the latest software

This upgrades your Lightroom 6. It does not provide you with Lightroom CC, your license is Lightroom 6, not Lightroom CC, and so Lightroom 6 will be installed.

The current versions are Lightroom CC 2015.8 and Lightroom 6.8. They are the same program, updated with the same update installer. Features are governed by how you have licensed your installation. And, you are entitled to all of the "decimal" versions of Lightroom 6.

    What is your operating system?

You get all updates to Lightroom 6 if your operating system supports it (and the updater works properly, which sometimes it does not). You can always manually update to the latest version your operating system supports via the links here:

Its MacOS currently El Capitan.  The Adobe updater does show an upgrade but I'm concerned that will upgrade to the CC version which I don't want.  Any advice would be appreciated.  Thank you
