Ability to turn off culling.   When searching for peoples faces on extremely large catalogues, Lightroom classic just crashes.

Thank you. Tried both of these.  And every other permutation.  But as soon as I open a mask (vital feature) it starts culling and crashing.  I have 600,000 images.  It’s 30 years.  So it crashes every time!  I want to revert to an earlier version, but that does not work either

When LR crashed, did the Adobe crash reporter pop up and did you enter the email address tied to your Adobe Id?  That will allow Adobe to tie the crash reports to this thread.

Sometimes, but not always.  Often even the crash reporters crashes. I’ve tried all the usual suggestions.  And don’t tell me, “well  that never happens to me.”   It’s partially because I have decades of images.

To completely disable culling analysis, uncheck the two options Catalog Settings > Metadata > Analyze Photos Of Selected Source When Assisted Culling Panel Is Open and > Automatically Analyze All Photos In Catalog.
