Turn off "Generate previews in Parallel"

I turned this off, bit it's still doing it. Do I need to reset the preferences?

    Read this for a better description of what the "generate previews in parallel" option does when it is toggled on/off:

    You will still see 2 operations in the status bar regardless of how the preview generation setting is set.

    If quitting and restarting Lr doesn't do it... try logging off your computer and back on as well.

    Usually, you have to restart Lightroom for settings like these.
