Turning GPU off fixed LR issues

I bought a new laptop 6 weeks a go, since getting this laptop I have had nothing but issues and they all seem to link to  LR classic. When editing photos, it would lock up/freeze 6, 7, 8 times a night and needed to be rebooted each time. This caused a lot of frustration. I tried everything I could think of, clean reinstall of windows (several times) upgrading all apps and drivers but nothing would fix it... Until I decided to turn off the GPU in LR preference window (which was set to Auto). All the issues stopped and no reduction in speed of processing.   Can someone please tell me why???      (Specs -   U7 Processor, 64 Gb ram, Nvidia RTX5060 GPU and Gen 5 M.2 drive. )

You've got an integrated Intel GPU  as well as the Nvidia GPU. Adobe recommends disabling second GPUs; see steps 5 and 6 of solution 4:

    Got it,   thank you.   I went in to Nvidia control panel and changed the prefered GPU from Integrated to Nvidia. would this be your recommendation?
