UNABLE TO IMPORT PHOTOS AND VIDEOS

I suddenly cannot import any photos or videos.

Currently running the most recent Lr version as at 4th November and running Mac OS Ventura.

 

Ive done the following:

- The photos are definitely not duplicates becaus Ive not imported the photos before and theyre not greyed out on the import screen.

- after a few tries, I unchecked the do not import suspected duplicates. Still no luck

- copied the photos via finder from SD card to the internal SSD. Tried to import again, still no luck

- tried the add, copy and move functions

- when I tried the copy function, Lr makes copies of the photos to the destination but the photos are not showing on Lr

- rebooted multiple times

- uninstalled and reinstalled, still nothing...

 

any help would be much appreciated

    I believe that is a known issue with macOS 13 and LrC see the clip taken from Lightroomqueen(dot)com forum.

    Do you have any idea if/when this issue might be resolved? Just freaking out a little...

    Hi, you can solve it using card reader instead of camera. Or copy pics from camera to computer and then import it to LR.

    I've got the same problem. I cannot import photos. I connect camera, open import dialogue but than nothing happens. No pictures are found.

    At Eva, please ensure you have provided Lightroom Classic and Photoshop "full disk access" on your macOS, See the link below.

    Also provide additional information i.e. version number of LrC and your macOS version number.

    Thank you, I just tried that... but that didnt work :S

    Explain in detail how far you get into the Import dialog box. Show us a screen capture (use the "Insert Photos" icon, do not attach files). If there is an error message, we need the exact unedited word-for-word error message.
