Unable to import photos into Lightroom classic because destination is not writable

Hey! I have been unable to import pictures to Lightroom classic. It says that it is unable to because the destination is not writable. I have made sure that all permissions are correct. Half of my gallery was able to unload while the rest was not! Please let me know how to fix this. Thank you!

So you are saying that in one import, half of the photos imported properly and then the other half gave the "Destination Not Writeable" error.

My first thought is that somehow the connection between the disk and computer failed during the export (possibly because the USB cable or port got bumped, or the USB cable or port failed completely). This could also happen if the hard drive was disconnected from the computer for similar reasons.

Yes, I have tried again. The copy and import bar at the top is taking forever and won't load at all. Once I cancel it then says the destination not writable error again. I'm not sure what to do!

Show me screen captures of the Destination panel in the Import dialog box. Also please show me the operating permissions on this exact folder.
