unable to import presets all items were already imported

I have a customer that sent me a preset to use on their photos.  When I go to import the preset into Lightroom Classic on a PC, I get an error message "unable to import presets all items were already imported".  Is it possible that they took a preset that I have already in LR but it has a different name?  If yes, how do I import the preset my customer wants me to use, or determine what the duplicate with a differnt name is?  I have quite a few presets.

You can open a preset in a text editor, because XMP is text. Then you can see what the internal name of the preset is, which may or may not be the same as the file name.
