Unable to open a (corrupted?) catalog from September 2023 and its backups

Hey I'm trying to open a Catalog from Sept. 2023 but it says it's corrupted... it tries to repair it and LR crashes at about 40%. I also tried older backups of the same catalog: same result. I really have no idea what could possibly have gone wrong. I never had this kind of issue.

If catalog is corrupted and backups are corrupted, try unzipping a backup anew (do not use an unzipped backup that you have previously unzipped) and store it on a different disk, and then see if it will open from there.
