Unable to open Lightroom - error message

I am unable to open my lightroom: I get the following error message

Lightroom cannot start because it cannot create files in the temporary file location “/var/folders/8n/qcwj50sn0qgfq1rh7s7_t5800000gn/T”.

I haven't changed anything on my computer and I am not sure how to fix this.

Thank you in advance for any help.

What version of Lightroom and even more important: what version of MacOS? Are you using MacOS Monterey and did you update it recently? If so, you need to change its security settings and give it full disk access: Quick Tips: How to give Full Disk Access to Lightroom Classic on macOS

Available hard drive space on the hard drive you store the catalog on? Needs to be at least 25% free. What do you have?
