    Thanks for adding the details.

Go to the following location to launch Lightroom via the terminal:
In Finder > Application Folder > Lightroom Folder > Right-click on Lightroom .app > Show Package Contents > Contents > macOS > Lightroom—double-click to open.

Share the log of what you see in the terminal window when Lightroom Launches, or fails to launch..

Let me know how it goes.

    Thanks!

    Hi @RICHARD COLE,

Thanks for reporting this. From your description, macOS is preventing Lightroom from opening and asking you to move the application to the Bin. This sounds like macOS security/Gatekeeper is blocking the installed Lightroom application after the update.

    Please try the following:

    1. Open System Settings > Privacy & Security.

    2. Scroll down to the Security section.

    3. Look for a message indicating that Adobe Lightroom or Creative Cloud was blocked from opening.

    4. If you see it, select Open Anyway.

    5. Authenticate with your Mac password/Touch ID if prompted, then try opening them again.

You can also try Control-clicking Lightroom in the Applications folder > Open. If macOS presents an additional security prompt, choose Open if that option is available.

If Lightroom is still blocked, please don’t move it to the Bin again yet. Instead, could you share:

    • A screenshot of the exact macOS message you receive.

    • Your macOS version.

    • Whether this is Lightroom or Lightroom Classic, and the version shown in the Creative Cloud desktop app.

The fact that you can access Lightroom in a browser indicates that we should focus on the locally installed application rather than your Lightroom account/library.

    Best,
